Al Sadd lose to Trabzonspor in friendly
Al Sadd went down 1-2 to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor in a friendly played at the Al Duhail Stadium on Sunday evening.
The match was organised to celebrate the friendly relations between Qatar and Turkey as well as prepare the teams during the international break.
Fabian Castillo opened the scoring for Trabzonspor in the 34th minute. The Colombian winger dribbled through the right flank and sent a shot at goal, which deflected off the hands of Al Sadd goalkeeper Saad Al Dosari.
After half-time, Al Sadd made a few changes and looked to get back into the game. However, it was Trabzonspor who scored again, this time through Ugur Demirok’s header in the 54th minute.
Al Sadd managed to pull one back, thanks to a Boualem Khoukhi header.
