Jugurtha Hamroun (Al Sadd) & Mouhcine Moutouali (Al Rayyan)… Key roles to play in ‘Qatar Clasico’
All eyes are on Friday’s ‘Qatar Clasico’ between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan in Round 6 of the QNB Stars League. It will have all ingredients of a thriller on and off the pitch. Al Sadd are second behind Al Duhail in the table with 15 points, while Al Rayyan are right behind them in third position on 12 points.
Coaches, Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira (Al Sadd) and Dane Michael Laudrup (Al Rayyan), have an array of outstanding players at their disposal. Prominent among them will be Al Sadd’s Algerian attacking midfielder Jugurtha Hamroun and Al Rayyan’s Moroccan medio Mouhcine Moutouali. They have key roles to play as both are proven professionals with an ability to score goals and provide assists.
Hamroun is one of the main pillars Al Sadd’s game revolves around. He has high skills as well as speed and can exploit spaces. He prefers to play on the wings and that enables him to charge towards the rival goal and take shots or pass the ball to team-mates. His passes are often precise and defence-splitting.
He is reliable and has succeeded in gaining the full confidence of Ferreira. He is a kind of player who can make a difference in the game and has contributed to many victories of Al Sadd. All these qualities make him one to watch out for on Friday.
On the other hand, Moutouali has underlined his potential even before joining Al Rayyan, when he represented another Qatari side Al Wakrah. He is a strong player with similar qualities to those of Hamroun. Moutouali has the uncanny ability to penetrate the rival goal and can create space on both sides. He is dangerous with his movements, sprints and manoeuvers.
Nevertheless, he has not got an opportunity to showcase his complete skills with Al Rayyan as he is often used by Laudrup as a substitute. Whether he starts or not, the ‘Qatar Clasico’ should give him a chance to exhibit his great skills.
The figures and statistics issued by Statis company, the official statistics provider for the QNB Stars League, state that both have scored one goal each from five rounds. Hamroun gave two assists and Moutouali one. The number of minutes covered by Hamroun was 456.9 and that of Moutouali was 229.6.
