Pre-Match Press Conference — Al Sailiya

Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Round 7 match against Umm Salal.

“Our big victory in our last match against Qatar SC apart, we try to concentrate on our next match. Now, we’ve a big task against Umm Salal, who are fourth in the standings. Discipline is very important on the field. We shouldn’t lose our focus while facing a strong side like Umm Salal. Even when we were leading in some games, we lost our focus and paid the price for it.

“Umm Salal are a team with no superstars. All are average players, so they will give off their best. The most important thing about them is that they’re a well-oiled machine. They’ve a good defence, hard-working midfielders who are strong and they’re excellent in all departments of the game.

“Both teams are trying to be in the top four, so the game will be keenly fought. The media is now focusing on Umm Salal and Al Sailiya also, and not just the top three sides. We aren’t thinking of keeping their key players Yannick Sagbo and Mahmoud Al Mawas quiet. We’ll play our distinctive game,” said Trabelsi.
