Pre-Match Press Conference — Qatar SC
Qatar SC coach Abdullah Mubarak, who has just replaced Argentinian Gabriel Calderon, spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Kharaitiyat.
“I’ve just taken over (from Calderon) and have only two days’ time before the game against Al Kharaitiyat. So I’m not intending to make many changes. There’re two games to go before the end of the league’s first phase.
“From what I’ve understood, there’re many areas for improvement. First of all, our defence has to be improved. We’re one of the two sides which has conceded the most number of goals (21), the other being Al Arabi.
“That has to be changed. And we’ve scored only eight goals. It’s not a good situation. That means there’s something seriously wrong with the side. It can be tactical or about individual performances.
“My immediate priority is to change that. After these two games, we’ll have a thorough analysis of our game and rectify them. Then, we’ll decide about new signings. I’ve six or seven months’ time to manage the side, which is a nice group.
“Our aim is to move from bottom to the middle of the table. I promise that we’ll stay in the top flight,” he said.
