QNB Stars League – Team of Round 3


The QNB Stars League’s official statistics and figures provider (Statis Company) announced the team of Round 3, which witnessed six exciting games and 25 goals, the highest number so far as Round 1 and 2 had 24 and 14 goals respectively.

Team of the Round includes four players from Umm Salal, three from Al Sadd, two from Al Sailiya, and one each from Al Duhail and Qatar SC.

The following is the list with performance levels.

In goalkeeping, Qatar SC’s Ragab Hamza stood out with a performance level of 85.4 despite the fact that his team went down to Al Arabi, who scored their first victory in the league after losing in the first two rounds. Had it not been for his alertness and sharp response to rival attacks, Qatar SC would have conceded more goals. It was Qatar SC’s second loss, their only victory coming against Al Markhiya in Round 2.

In right wing, Al Sailiya’s Hamad Al Obaidly, with a performance level of 82.5, put up a strong performance to help them overcome Al Markhiya.


The accolade for the best left-wing display went to Umm Salal’s Rami Fayez, who performed 90.3, and the team won against Al Ahli.

In central defence, Umm Salal’s Adel Rahili (94.4) and Al Sailiya’s Dragos Gregor (87.2) contributed to their sides’ victories over Al Ahli and Al Markhiya respectively.

In midfield, Al Sadd’s Boualem Khokhi (93.1) as well as Xavi Hernandez (90.2) and Umm Salal’s Youssef Sekour (90.7) stole the spotlight as they prevailed over Al Gharafa and Al Ahli respectively.


The right attacking midfielder position saw Umm Salal’s Syrian player Mahmoud Al Mowas, with a performance level of 94.2, excelling the most with crucial assists.

Al Duhail’s Tunisian player Youssef Msakny (87.8) shone as the left attacking midfielder, having played a key role.

Al Sadd’s victory over Al Gharafa was highlighted by Algerian forward Jugurtha Hamroun’s performance of 92.0.
