QNB Stars League Week 11 Pre-Match Press Conference — Al Ahli
Al Ahli coach Joaquin Caparros spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Rayyan.
“A strong game. We’re in good mood too. We know defeating Al Rayyan is no easy task, but it is not impossible. They’re title contenders. Ahli are no Rayyan, but we’re prepared.
“Victory against Al Sailiya gave us three valuable points and we could move up to the eighth position. We are trying hard to help our players, especially Mohammed Muntari and Yassine Chikhaoui, to recover after our last match.
“our team is progressing in the right direction and I hope my wards will display another good game, against Al Rayyan.
“I’m happy with our current place in the standings, but we are ambitious and hungry for more. We don’t have injury worries, except that of Meshaal Abdullah, who is recovering after a surgery for an injury on his shoulder. He will miss this match.
“After this game, we have the QSL Cup fifth-round match and I’m optimistic we will do well in all our engagements. We may think of making changes to the squad during the break, not now,” said Caparros.
