QNB Stars League Week 15 Pre-Match Press Conference — Al Duhail

Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Ahli.

“We have the desire to maintain our unbeaten streak throughout this season’s league competition and we are ready to face Al Ahli. We have prepared the team with yet another victory in mind.

“The battle for the title at the top does not bother us. In a way, some pressure is good for us because all teams that wish to win the championship play under pressure.

“In the last round, we wanted to win over Al Rayyan, but we had an opponent who played very well. The draw was good for us, but our game against Al Ahli will not be like our first-phase match, which we won by a 6-1 margin. I would be happy if we just win also.

“The AFC Champions League will start soon, but we are not the only side playing in it. I congratulate Al Gharafa for making it to the group stage, getting the better of Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor.

“Striker Almoez Ali has returned after doing duty for Qatar at the Asian Under-23 Championship in China. He is a good player who has made his presence felt with his perseverance and ambitions despite being young,” said Belmadi.
