QSLM sponsors Junior Stars League

The Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is sponsoring the Junior Stars League, organised by Evolution Sports Qatar, with an aim to promote football among the youth. More than 1,000 students, in the 7-16 age category, are playing in the tournament.

The Junior Stars League, which started in the beginning of October, will be held till the end of this academic year. Matches are played at different venues, while Doha Academy is the main training centre.

Teams are named after the QNB Stars League clubs and wear identical colours. The QSLM provides the clothing and equipment, acknowledging the youngsters’ passion and love for football, while Evolution Sports Qatar is facilitating the pitches.

Matches are being played on Fridays and Saturdays. After their fixtures, the students are keen to watch their favourite teams and stars in action in the QNB Stars League. Youngsters will also have the opportunity to meet star players in person and also attend some training sessions. At the same time, seniors will attend the Junior Stars League games to motivate the up-and-coming players.

QSLM Community Relations Officer Nasser Al Kuwari said, “We’re so pleased to sponsor the Junior Stars League, thereby promoting football among the age-group players. We believe it’ll encourage them to watch the QNB Stars League matches at stadiums and also contribute towards developing the fan base of each club. The tournament comes within the framework of our CSR role and we appreciate the organisers and competing students.”
